We Support International Justice Mission
Founded in 1997, International Justice Mission has worked tirelessly to bring rescue and justice to victims of human trafficking and modern day slavery. IJM operates in 13 countries throughout Asia, Africa and Latin America, working with law enforcement and legal professionals in those areas to protect the innocent and rescue them from exploitation. Through the efforts of their team of lawyers, investigators and aftercare professionals, IJM has been able to secure success on multiple fronts, including victim relief, perpetrator accountability, survivor aftercare, and the transformation of judicial systems to better protect the poor and vulnerable.
Every year, nearly two million children are exploited in the global commercial sex trade (as per UNICEF reports), and 27 million people are held as slaves (Kevin Bales, Disposable People as quoted on the IJM website). IJM coordinates rescue efforts and aftercare to ensure safety and healing for these victims, and works with law enforcement and the local judicial systems to secure justice against the perpetrators. FaithPrayers is proud to support the work of International Justice Mission.
