Dear Friend,
Words carry power; it would be hard to overstate their importance. They can carry a positive, life-affirming power—containers that carry truth, authenticity and robust health into people’s lives.
And they can carry darkness. A deceptive web of darkness that is hard to untangle.
We are responsible for our words, and for what we are really trying to gain in our use of them. It is vital that we never deceive ourselves regarding our speech, pretending to be doing good while having a heart that is jealous or of ill intent.
Often what people attribute to evil spirits is simply the work of human beings. And it’s often the result of their words.
“The tongue has the power of life and death.” (Proverbs 18:21)
